What to Consider When Going Global
The most important consideration to take into account when implementing decisions in a global organization is cultural differences. A business decision successfully implemented in the United States can very well fail in another country that does not share similar values and cultures. For instance, if McDonald's ever made the decision to introduce a new sirloin beef burger, they can with great success implement the decision in the United States. However, they must consider the fact that certain cultures do not prefer beef in their sandwiches, so they should adjust their implementation plan accordingly.Another important consideration to take into account when implementing decisions in a global organization is the external political environment. For instance, it is inappropriate to implement a decision in a country that may be having bad ties with the United States. The NFL just had its first regular season game in Britain. It would have been inappropriate and disastrous if the game had been in Iran.
